| Last night, I went to Step Up! and it was absolutely AMAZING. For those of you who don't know (which would probably be most of you) Step Up! is a night of worship that the Office of University Ministries put on. Live music was put on by Unlimited (my school's performance group), Triiiune (a local band), and The Katinas. There were also a couple of special guest speakers. I got to Upper Gwinn Commons (which is right above our cafeteria) at around 8:50, but the doors didn't open until 9:00. The area outside the doors was absolutely packed, and you almost had to shout in order to hear the person standing next to you. At one point, John Katina brushed right past me, trying to get to the doors. I didn't even know that he was part of The Katinas until they came out and performed since I had heard some of their songs in the past, but had never seen them.
When we were finally let in, Unlimited started out the night by playing a few songs that most of us sang along to since the words were put up on a screen. After a few songs by them, we all started to sing How Great Thou Art, and Triiiune came in and finished out the song before doing a couple more. After Triiiune sang, Leonard Weaver, fullback for the Seattle Seahawks (one of the guest speakers) came to the front and told us his testimony, about how he had to learn to step up and do what was right. After Weaver spoke, The Katinas came out and we all sang along with the songs, since they did ones we all knew and they had the words on the screen. A few of the songs we did was, "How Great is Our God," "Blessed Be Your Name" (complete with an island flavor to it), and "Here I Am to Worship." There were some parts where The Katinas just let us sing, and it was really amazing. After The Katinas finished out that set, Mike Silva (the other guest speaker) came out and spoke about stepping up as Christians to do what was right. He told a really good story at the end about a father and his son and they were art collectors. If you haven't heard the story, go here to read it. After Mike Silva finished, The Katinas came out and did one final song, "Draw Me Close," and then the night was finished. There were quite a few people who stayed after for a few minutes, and The Katinas obliged us by doing one final song that we all rocked out to.
All in all, it was an absolutely amazing evening, and I'm SOOO glad that I had the opportunity to go.
| | You scored as Zoe Alleyne Washburne, The Soldier. You are the second in command, and that is fine. You like a chain of command, but only when the one in charge has earnt your respect. Those who earn your love or loyalty will find no one better to guard their back.

| I had a rough weekend this weekend... After the service project on Saturday, I had a massive migraine that refused to go away. Then on Sunday, I twisted my ankle while walking to church. I'm still limping today, and going down the stairs is not fun... Hopefully this week will be better than my weekend was.
Anyway, here's the schematic for the high pass filter. I'll post a pic of the actual filter circuit sometime tomorrow afternoon/evening.

| Current mood: tired yet pleased
Wow today has been long. I went on the Latreia service day today, and I have to admit that it was fun. We went over to White Center and helped clean up a park all day. Me and two others just basically walked around the park picking up trash and talking. It makes me sad to see how lazy some people can be with their trash. We found broken glass, bottles, wrappers, plastic bags, etc. all around the lake and even deep in bushes! It makes me wonder how come some people just can't be conscientious of other people and animals and just take their trash to the garbage can. We left my school campus at around 8:10am (which means that I got up at around 7am on a Saturday...) and made it to White Center around 8:30 where we registered and got our shirts. It was basically just a community event where people from all over White Center came out and helped clean up their community. The service project lasted all day, and we got back to campus at around 2:05pm. It makes me feel good that I was able to help clean up the park, and I will definitely try to be conscientious about littering in the future after spending 5+ hours cleaning up trash from around this park...
